Chris Jagger
Charlie has known and played with Chris Jagger since way back in the '60s, when Chris set up a session, produced by Andrew Loog Oldham, for the band Charlie was playing in at that time, 117. But it wasn't until the 1994 release of the album, Atcha (Sequel Records) that their joint writing, recording and performing turned into a longstanding and fruitful musical partnership.

Usually working in the context of the band 'Atcha!' the music ranges from zydeco- and cajun-inspired originals, to country songs, blues, Tex-mex and more, but always characterized by an authenticity and improvisatory quality that has kept the music fresh.
The band recorded more albums, 'Channel Fever' and then 'Act of Faith' which was produced by Charlie and Jim Mortimore and picked up by the German company SPV. Like the previous albums it contains several Jagger/Hart compositions and features David Gilmour, Sam Brown, and Mick Jagger as guests.

The band has toured extensively - in the States, where they appeared on Conan O'Brian show, and in Canada, and throughout Europe and UK, offering a compelling and original British cocktail of Zydeco, Country and R'n'B influences.
The trio Atcha Acoustic was a natural progression, involving the talented Ben Waters on piano. The band relased the CD From Lhasa to Lewisham (Hypertension Records,) and toured Germany extensively.
After that came another Atcha album, Concertina Jack (Latent Talent Records), featuring more Jagger/Hart co-writes, and a notable guest spot for brother Mick.

Chris and Charlie then started appearing as a two-man show: Charlie moving between piano, fiddle and accordion and Chris on acoustic guitar, harp and being the principal singer.
In 2017 they embarked on a successful world tour as a duo, taking in Germany, Australia, Argentina and Brazil.

More recently, Chris and Charlie returned to Oz, and then embarked on recording the album ‘Mixing the Medicines’ with their old friend, the renowned producer John Porter. This album, which was essentially co-written, was a move towards jazz and was released on BMG, at the same time as Chris’ autobiography, ‘Talking to myself’.
Stay tuned to find out the next steps in the Jagger/Hart saga.
